Celebrating Jesus Is Assurance Of Victory

The accounting of king Jehoshaphat and judah's victory ove the host of ammon, Moab and Mount sier as recorded in II chro. 20: 1-30 gives credence to the virtue of obedience to divine instruction and its consequent reward.

Specifically, the divine instruction was that Jehoshaphat and all Judah should worship and praise the beauty of his Holiness. While the lord did the fighting of the battle on their behalf.

Here we see the confirmation of the fact that they experienced victory when they obeyed the word of his prophet vs. 14-20. The central truth being exemplified is that praise brings victory. Thus their enemies, were destroyed while they carted away great spoils.

Jesus is worth celebrating for assured victory - Phil. 2:9-11

A. JESUS CELEBRATED BY JESUS - JOSH 5:13-15, 6:1-26
-Joshua reverenced God always - Exo. 33:11-14; Josh 3:7-17
- Joshua Encountered christ at Jericho - Josh. 5:13-15; , 5: 4-9
-Christ releases Strategy for victory to Joshua - Josh 6:1-5
- Joshua celebrated christ by observing the vows and commandments - Josh. 6:16-26, 1:1-9

B. JESUS CELEBRATED BY THE SAMARITAN WOMAN - JOSH. 4: 1-31

- She was a candidate of divine location - Josh 4: 2-6
- She stepped into her divine timing vs. 37
- she needed a revelation of christ to access her breakthrough - vs. 10
- She built around her a wall of  defense
- She  became aware of Christ's pressence when she released herself - vs. 11-14
- She had an unquenchable thirst for transformation and victory - vs. 15
- she became transformed and true worshipper of christ - vs. 16-27
- she turned her world around for christ after this encounter - Ambassador for christ - vs. 28 -30

N:B Christ seized the opportunity to minister to this woman vs. 8

HOW ARE WE TO CELEBRATE JESUS?
- worship him in spirit and in truth vs 23-24
- herald his salvation everywhere - vs. 29
- be a testifier of his wonders i.e give and live a life to testimony - ps.29:12, ps. 35:28

CONCLUSION
When we celebrate Jesus, He will celebrate us. We become celebrated as Joshua became a celebrity, when he began to make and give God, the first place or priority in his life. Who do you esteem or celebrate as a personality  above the all and celebrated in our lives everyday. Remember the song - Jesus Must be honoured 3x
in my life everyday

OBEDIENCE - GOD'S REQUIREMENT

God has graciously given us a theme if only we accordance with God's requirement, we shall all share testimony. The only who can give us perfect guidance to receiving our uncommon reward is our heavely father. But to bring this to pass we must adhere to his instructions, we must listen, trust and obey him.

1. Obedience defined - doing what God say, and when he says.
To intentionally ignore what the lord says and do what we desire in the way we want and according to our time schedule is outright rebellion.

2. Obedience requires that we... not lean on your own understand''
- Meditate upon God's word - Josh. 1:8
- Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit - John 16: 13
- Be Sensitive to God's timing - Gen. 22: 1-3

3. Walk in faith where the way is not always clear.
- Obedience would be much easier if we knew exacltly where we're going. But sometimes God calls us to step out in faith when the way is  not clear- Gen. 12:1-4; Proverbs 3:5

4. Follow God's instruction even if it seems Unreasonable - Josh. 6: 2-21
The lord might ask us to do something which seems illogical or beyond our ability. Even if we feel disqualified, afraid and resistant, instead of making excuses or denying that God could have possibly said that, we should be like Joshua,

- Have courage -  Josh. 1:9. Courage is essential for obedience in the christian life

- Accept conflict.  Sometimes obedeince to the lord results in conflict with others - Acts 5: 29

5. Be willing to be corrected by God.  There may be times when the Lord alters our course - Acts 16: 6 -10

Conclusion
Our responsibility is to obey God and leave all the consequences to Him. The Lord has given us a great theme this year. All you need to do us to follow through obedience

It's Time To Cross Over

Anyone who wants to become great must prepare to face challenges. Such was the story of the isrealites. Anytime God gives you a promise, the enemy would like to oppose it. God promised to take the isrealites to the promised land but their enemy rose up in opposition. But God displayed his power and glory at the red sea. Let us explore this message under the following;

I. ISREAL AT THE RED SEA (EX. 14: 1-8)
A. The decision of Pharaoh: follow up ( Ex. 14: 1-9)
